I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Hammerhead (Remote) in Sept 2022
Interview
They ghosted me. I applied in July. First round interview in September with hiring manager. Take home assignment after that. Then two more rounds of interviews at the end of October with the team and cross functional partners. Interviews were friendly and straightforward and I was excited about the people I met and the role. But then I was completely ghosted. Never heard back from the company even after repeated follow up attempts. Not cool for someone you take through four rounds of interviews spread over months. Hearing “no” from a company is a bummer but being ghosted is just unprofessional.

Interview
Communication from the hiring manager was efficient, the interviews were relaxed, conversational, and educational and the interviewers did a very nice job of navigating remote interviewing. Though I was not offered the job, by the end of the process I was informed enough about the role and the company to know that I most likely would not want the role anyway so it was a good experience.

Question 1
How would you handle an employee complaint about another employee wearing a MAGA hat at work? (This was a very creative way to suss out political affiliation without asking a direct question. Albeit, borderline discriminatory in a way.)
Initial phone screening to discuss submitted resume and relevant experience to the role. They were looking for someone with analysis software simulation experience. They described the role and the team that the person would work on as well.
