The process was pretty good up until the on-site interview. Call with recruiter and hiring manager. There was a take-home exercise which was brief, which I really appreciated. The part where it took a turn was the onsite interview. They let two of their interns interview me, which is fine and even appreciated. I thought it was great that they they were empowering their interns and including them in the decision-making process. However, the interns were not very nice. Their tone was interrogative and it almost felt like they were ganging up on me together, which made me feel mildly humiliated. Things got even worse when the fire alarm went off and we were all forced to evacuate the building. The hiring manager told me she would reschedule my final interview with another team member. Instead, I got a call from the recruiter that I didn't get the job. Obviously, looking back on it, I can see that there just wasn't a fit and a bit of my time was saved, but it felt messy and didn't leave me with a very good impression of the company.
