I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Harris Teeter (Raleigh, NC) in Apr 2014
Interview
I met with my CSM at the time and we discussed two things: what I could work and when I could start. The interview goes smoothly but look for key things: being respectful, minor kinks in personality, and overall confidence. If you get a call back for an interview then you have a very good chance of getting the job.
Straightforward process and not too difficult of questions. Went to corporate office, there were several other candidates there to interview as well. All went through interview process around the same time other candidates in separate areas, and then rejoined once interview was completed to start onboarding.
I applied online. I interviewed at Harris Teeter (Greensboro, NC) in Jan 2026
Interview
I apply through the Harris Teeter careers website.
Then In-Person, lasts about 20 minutes
Very casual and conversational.
They ask Basic questions like “Tell me about yourself.”
“How would you handle an unhappy customer?”
“What would you do if an item scans the wrong price?”
Pretty simple and straight forward, the hiring manager was nice. I'm a full time student so it was a low level part time position. If you have even average conversational skills you should be just fine.
