This was through a third-party recruiter who set up for me to have a video interview for the second round. The interviewer was 3 minutes late to the meeting and made no apologies for this. After a brief greeting, he started avoiding all attempts at eye contact and even did their best to hide their whole body from the camera so no more than the background full of books were present while he asked me to provide an overview of my resume. I trailed off as I realized this . he then went to reiterate the job responsibilities and how its just one person who needs technical support for 10 minutes until I interjected and said, " I understand" and started asking him questions about the company and in depth pain points needed to be addressed in the role. The interview was supposed to 30 minutes but only last 22 minutes. I felt so disrespected during the whole interview which is why I was shocked that they wanted to perform another one. This time it was with the head of the company who performed the same behavior as the last but went farther with this disrespectful and unprofessional display of behavior by placing their head down on the desk as I was talking. I was not making unprofessional gestures mind you. Nor did I ramble. kept my replies under 2 minutes and it wasn't until I laughed that the interviewer lifted her head up. They chewed up the rest of the meeting by rambling until the end of the interview.
Never have I ever felt so degraded, belittled, and mortified in my life. They completely disrespected my time. Were unprofessional. if you did not want the candidate then you simply should have said, " we would like to move in another direction."
