Hawk Ridge Systems Sales Engineer interview questions

One phone interview. 2-3 in person interviews and a test. Weird questions and panel interview. Offered me a job verbally to get me to decline another offer. The next morning, when the official job offer was promised to come through, the hiring manager called me to inform me the offer is being pulled back and no explanation was given. I asked the manager directly how they had gone from giving an offer to pulling it back in less than 24 hrs and he said the president told him he wasn't allowed to tell me. So fishy, and they harass your references.
