I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Health Care For The Homeless (Baltimore, MD) in Apr 2026
Interview
I applied in early March 2026 and the recruiter reached out 3 weeks later to schedule an initial screening. Following the screening, the recruiter reached out the next day to schedule an in-person interview. Less than a business day before my in-person interview, they sent an assessment to complete. They asked for me to present on test data highlighting performance gaps and disparities across patient populations. I thought it was unprofessional to ask so late given that the interview was scheduled more than a week in advance, nonetheless, I completed it and presented it during the interview.
I was fine with an in-person interview but I had to pay for parking, which I barely could afford, because I was RIF'd from my last position and was surviving off of unemployment. I also had to drive almost an hour one way and barely had enough gas to get there and back. After all of that effort, 3 weeks have gone by and I have not heard from them regarding a decision. I don't have an issue with them moving forward with another candidate but I thought it was extremely unprofessional to not communicate that when they had initially indicated I would hear from them within a week or two. If timelines have changed, communicate that!
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Health Care For The Homeless (Baltimore, MD) in May 2024
Interview
First there is a phone screen, then a panel interview and maybe - depending upon the position a second interview. Be aware their HR team is crazy slow - the process is interminable. You get screened a month after you apply then your interview doesn't come for another month or more. I accepted the job because I needed work but a BETTER job came through like the day off so I took that one because from first interview to start date was like 3 weeks and Health Care for the Homeless took almost three MONTHS
