First phone call was a screening with HR. The next was another phone call with the hiring manager and finally a 3-4 hour onsite with the team.
I felt like I did great during the onsite and the team members I spoke with seemed excited. The interview was the typical behavioral questions, leadership questions, situations / scenarios and a little bit technical.
I don't know what went wrong. The hiring manager was pushing everyone to move quickly. Anyways, 2 WEEKS go by after the final onsite and I hear no word. Mind you this has been a complete waste of 2 months. As well as putting together a presentation and materials afterwards.
Finally today, HR gave me a call & they've have "decided that my skillset & experience is not what they're looking for". He also said that "they don't have the equity for me right now".
Which is completely untrue given the conversations I've had with the team, their obstacles and so forth. I don't know, but to me it sounds like someone was intimidated by my skillset & experience. I would had preferred to (1) have been told much sooner (as opposed to 2 weeks) and (2) to have been given an honest answer.
