The interview first started with a phone screen with the sales team which went rather well. I really enjoyed speaking with the sales manager as he was blunt as all can be which is exactly what I wanted. I was invited for an onsite and had to give a presentation on something I was passionate about to three potential co-workers. After that I met with about 3 other folks on the team with the final individual being the sales manager. I really enjoyed the process and the advice from the sales manager. However, my only caveat was that upon not being selected I never heard a confirmation from the recruiter about not getting the role. This left me in the dark and never gave me an answer. In terms of an analogy it felt as if I was a bumblebee trying to get pollen from a flower that suddenly closed up on me. I never will know why. Yet, I understand that is the nature of startups today. Using one of the 'many' HR solutions to inform prospects that they did not get a role instead of not giving any follow up would be awesome.
