I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HiHello (Jacksonville, NC)
Interview
There were 4 rounds and a take-home project. First was a Zoom call with the recruiter, then a Zoom call with the hiring manager, followed by a reasonable and practical take-home React project. The technical interview afterwards was very enjoyable; I met with a couple of engineers and we went over the take-home to fix bugs and add new features. I was given plenty of time to ask questions and get to know the engineers and company better in this round. Finally, I had a Zoom call with the CEO, where we discussed my background, what I was looking for in a new role, and various aspects of the company.
Overall this was a very pleasant experience and although I ended up accepting an offer at a different company, I would not hesitate to recommend others to apply.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HiHello (Vancouver, BC) in Jan 2025
Interview
I had a five-round interview; an initial call with the People Lead, a quick conversation with the Principal Engineer, a take home technical test, an overview of the test with members of the engineering team, and a final conversation with the CEO.
