I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hinge Health
Interview
First a call with the recruiter. Next a semi-technical call with the hiring manager going over past projects. Next was a 1 hour live coding challenge where I was allowed and expected to use AI.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hinge Health in May 2025
Interview
I was asked to complete a take-home assignment and encouraged to use AI, which seemed forward-thinking, so I gave it a shot. A few days later, I was told the team loved it and wanted to move forward with scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
From there, communication slowed significantly. Recruiters were unresponsive and slow to schedule, which often signals a lack of serious intent or internal disorganization.
When I finally spoke with a hiring manager, he yawned repeatedly and seemed completely disengaged. After putting in real effort, it was disheartening to be met with such a lack of professionalism.
A week later, I received a generic rejection, along with a note saying company policy prevents them from giving feedback.
Overall, it felt like a disorganized startup with possible headcount issues or internal turmoil. I wouldn’t recommend wasting time in interviewing here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked to complete a tech test using AI, followed by a technical screen and a behavioral interview with the hiring manager, which included standard behavioral questions.
It was an easy interview process. Leetcode medium should suffice in the preparation. Most of the questions were on DS and Typescript. There were a few questions on microservices-driven architecture.
