I first got called in by a recruiter. We had a great interview and really hit it off. She wanted to bring me back in the meet the VP and the lead tech writer, but first I had to take a short exam. It was targeted toward programmers. I am not a programmer but did well. Had my interview and was called in as a contractor a few days later. Contract turned to perm after about three weeks.
