I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Orlando, FL) in Sept 2015
Interview
I went the first day to apply for help with a new store set up and I had already completed an application. I arrived and was one of the first people interviewed. The co-manager interviewing me told me briefly about the new store & what the position was. He asked me a few questions and it seemed like he was ready to hire me (since I had previously worked for the company), but instead he had to check with a senior manager so he had me wait a few minutes.
I spoke with her and she asked me a few questions about my initial experience. I felt I had nothing but praise for the company and was excited about sharing my talents. She explained that they weren't hiring on the spot and would call me back mid week. I never got a call. So, I decided to wait and go back on Friday morning & I spoke with another senior manager who had my information and informed me that they had not filled all of the positions and would be making a final decision by 5 pm on Friday and would call. Again, I never received a call.
Really disappointed that I didn't receive a chance to work for the company, but more disappointed that there was no real explanation why I didn't get a call back. I felt that I was misled into believing that there really might be an opportunity, especially since I had the experience they needed and both interviewers seemed to be encouraging. I fully understood that this was a temporary opportunity to help set up a new store again and there would be no guarantee of full-time or part-time employment. Just really disappointed at the way this particular interview process was handled.

I applied online. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Pensacola, FL)
Interview
Extremely easy. Was during seasonal so management let pretty much anybody in. Had to take a quick test, which was easy enough. The woman who interviewed me was very personable during the process.
It was very smooth process. They asked me 4 or 5 questions and then let me ask questions. They gave me a tour of the store and introduced me to the other people working there.
The interview process was swift and easygoing. The managers had great personalities and were easy to communicate with. They made you feel at home before you even started the interview.
