Interview
I applied for the position online, part-time for the summer. I submitted my resume and cover letter and did an assessment with personality questions and choosing the best/worst response in different scenarios presented. I got a call 3 days later from the Retail Staffing Centre in Toronto for a phone screen. Very basic questions about my availability and previous cashier experience. I then got booked in for an interview at the beginning of the following week.
The in-person interview was with one of the managers or supervisors in the store and was very straight-forward as well. She asked me 6 questions from a booklet and wrote down my answers. They were all situational questions and about customer service. They checked my references that same day and I got a call later in the day from the HR manager. I went back two days later and got a job offer on the spot.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Okotoks, AB) in Oct 2025
Interview
It was an average entry level interview. Was pretty chill. They requested another which is unusual for this type of position but if its like the first i'm alright with it.
Was pretty easy just ask you about who you are and see if you match their values chart thing which is posted everywhere. Overall pretty easy and not too stressful
