Their hiring process is an absolute joke. The interview itself was ok, then I received a call saying the manager wanted make me an offer but the company unfortunately decided to hire internally. But, great news, they will probably be opening the same position next week and they would like to let me know. Ok then. A week later I receive a call that the position opened and they are making me an offer. A rather low one, though. I replied I would like to accept the offer but the position goes at 10% more of what they are offering, and that's an amount I'd be happy to accept. To which she said she will immediately let the management know and they will prepare an official offer. Next day I get an email that they are preparing an offer. A day later I get another email telling me to sit tight, they are preparing an offer. After that, silence. A few days later I'm getting offers from other companies and really don't want to wait anymore so I inquire as to what's up. A couple days later I receive an email with an elaborate story about how the HR representative I talked to this whole time was sick and the company just let her know that they unfortunately decided to close the position. Yup. And guess what, 2 months later they're still advertising and looking to fill the very same position. My advice to the company? At least have the balls to admit you are lowballing the potential employees instead of coming up with silly fables.
