Applied, waited and waited. Got a call or email from HR and did a phone screening with them. Went well and next was a phone interview with the actual hiring manager. All went well until this point and they invited me for an in-person interview.
Took time off work, went down there, waited like a moron because the hiring manager seemed to be busy! Really? You don't know you have an interview scheduled? You don't get an alert on your phone about your next appointment?
Anyway, spoke with hiring manager. Got on super well with them, spoke about everything except the actual job and my background, etc.
The hiring manager said I have the exact type of background in terms of fit within the org and next time we meet we'll go over my background, because I asked the person when we would do that because we did not discuss it at all.
Of course I did not hear back from anyone there, even after following. Simply ignored! Huh? So how did they decide not to get further when they did not even ask me any technical questions or about my professional background and we got on super well? Doesn't make sense.
Weird!
