Coming with prior sales experience, I was a shoe-in for sales. I didn't know lighting as much but I could learn and did learn it. However, when I got my offer, it was a significant lowball to what we agreed to in person. They never explained why nor did they ever want to adjust it. Know your worth, provide value, and tell them why you are what you cost.
