I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Houlihan Lokey (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2021
Interview
Mixed behavioral and technical first round interview. Mostly about work experience and asking about your resume with some technicals sprinkled in. Technicals were not too difficult, just the basics about valuation and discounted cash flow analysis
If you're well verse with the cfa curriculum it shouldnt be mu h of an issue. Just be yourself and it shouldnt be an isssue. The interview would be in their office and not in the college even if you've applied through college.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Houlihan Lokey (New York, NY) in Aug 2022
Interview
An initial interview which was a mix of technical and behaviors. Followed by a super day of three interviews. Not overly technical, but some questions to make sure you understand accounting, valuation metholodiges, etc.
Brief, walk through resume and then random questions. Interviewers were unwelcoming and not necessarily friendly. 30% background, 20% behavioral/situational, 50% technical. All questions can be easily handled with light preparation and thinking recalling stories quickly
