The first interview was with HR manager, 15 minutes, to check if I qualify for the job, and that went well.
The second interview was with data manager for the migration and line manager. They presented in 15 minutes the software they use for migration and ran through a basic 15 minutes SQL test. also 15 minutes I spent giving a concised run through my CV related to the job spec, both technical and values.
They said it will take 3 weeks for the next stage, that seemed fair.
I wrote an email to HR, on Monday to express that I still have an interest for the job and in one day I got a negative feedback saying that language is more important than technical skills.
It is true I kept my private life private and I did not want to ask personal questions to any managers during the interview.
HR:
"While we recognized your exceptionally strong coding knowledge and database expertise, our evaluation placed a critical emphasis on the communication style and stakeholder management approach required for our busy migrations desk."
So I recommend people to apply for this job only if they are very friendly, and without much technical skills that will go to waste.
