I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hubbell (Boonton, NJ) in Feb 2024
Interview
The interview experience with the hiring manager was highly disappointing. Despite being 10 minutes late, there was no acknowledgment or explanation for the delay. The manager's lack of readiness, reviewing the resume on the phone, set a disorganized tone. The abrupt questioning about why you should be hired, coupled with constant interruptions, prevented a fair expression of your qualifications. The manager's limited knowledge and inappropriate questions regarding visa sponsorship, especially for international students, reflected a lack of understanding and sensitivity. Overall, the interviewer's poor connection with the candidate, inadequate preparation, and questionable behavior make them a less-than-ideal hiring manager. This experience would certainly make one reconsider working under such management.

Medium and high voltage experience. How is your experience related to this job position?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hubbell (Boonton, NJ)
Interview
Applied online. It was overall 3 rounds. Initial screening, then the hiring manager and finally the director. Remind you almost all scheduled interviews were delayed by 10 minutes or so for one reason to another. Overall the entire process took about 2 months to arrange and get everyone's schedule. It looks like there is a lot of miscommunication between departments. After going through all of the rounds, they decided I didn't have a particular experience which didn't make sense as i have come to the very last step of the entire process.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Hubbell (Londonderry, NH) in Jun 2011
Interview
Met with several of the product line engineering managers and human resources. Overall they were professional and asked pertinent questions. Since it was my first job out of school they asked about my internships and what were my interests. Got called into a second interview with higher management. I did not pursue the job because the products did not seem very interesting. However for the right person it seemed like a good opportunity to learn the design process and how a company functions.
