A video interview answering 5 questions - plenty of time to do this at your own pace and review it before you submit it. You can also have as many tries as you wish, thankfully!! Questions like tell us when you went shopping for something you really wanted/how would you make contact or engage with someone. About 3 weeks later, I received an email asking me to attend a half day assessment locally. There were about 30 of us there. We were divided into 4 groups and each group went through an individual exercise, a group exercise (there were about 6-8 in each group) and then everyone had to do a 5 minute presentation about themselves using props or photos. All exercises were facilitated by Ikea co-workers from various locations in the UK and were supportive and friendly and managed to make most of us much less nervous!! There was also a short 15 minute one-one interivew which is informal and mainly a chat so they can get to know you - it's not all about your skills or previous jobs but more about personality and how you might 'fit' in the team as they can train you in what is needed.

It was an exclusive interview with people invited from two colleges. The number of applicants was over 25. We had basic introductions, a GD and an interview afterwards. My interviewers were polite though same was not the case for other people.
