Interview
Digital Interview (HireVue) followed by phone call. The digital interview consists of 7 questions mainly asking about yourself, your knowledge about the company, and your strength. No technical questions. After that, a phone interview was the matching team is scheduled of back to back 45 min.

Why do you want to intern at Illumina? What in your past experience will help you succeed at Illumina?
A quick call, last about 5 minutes. It was a fun interview, with a lot of interesting question to answer for. Overall, it was a nice experience. Hats off to the Illumina's HR team
First round is one-way interviews, where you record videos of yourself answering questions. Next round is a panel interview over Zoom. At this interview I was asked to give a presentation on an academic paper.

There was a recorded video interview and a day long interview with the other applicants, where they put you in groups and you compete against the other applicants for a full day, as well as having one on one conversations with members of the team.
