Interview
Invited to go on site and do 30 min presentation + Q&A.
Then the schedule was:
+ 1hr discussion with team leads about the role
+ 1hr discussion with a member from a different team to evaluate communication
+ break where I met junior members of the team
+ wrap up with HR person.
Everything went smoothly and everyone was nice.
Travel expenses were covered.

Experience in coding. Experience in large projects. Working relations in the past.
I felt I could have done better in answering what I knew about "unit testing". (I think that was what made me not get an offer in the end.
Explain a project to someone outside my field.
I was allowed to ask a lot of questions.

it was online interview. It has 3 parts with regular questions. They asked me about my experiences and my projects with regards to sequencing, Computational biology. They also asked me why I choose illumina and what are my background.
Three part, intitial phone consultation, followed by online interview then face to face interview. At the face to face there was opportunity for presentation with questions after. It took several days til I had response. All very friendly.

The interview process consisted of a series of questions in front of a video-recording camera.
One question was to mention a few good qualities about myself. The longest question was when I was asked to construct an API service.
