Nobody I interviewed with is still there. They have all wisedened up and moved on. You will be happy when 5pm Friday rolls around. Your contract means nothing. They will force you to re-sign a new rate or you are out. They have the right to re-negotiate a contract at their discretion.

Interview
I had 3 interviews - one with the CTO, one with the direct manager and one with the CEO. They gave me a skills test in SQL and they asked me about past experience. They asked for references and called my former employers. I got the offer from the CEO.
