      Nurse Practitioner Interview

      13 Jun 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Included Health

      Interview

You submit your application online then they set up an initial first phone interview. After this they set up a mock case. They cancelled the phone interview a few hours before it was scheduled. I had to email them to remind them to reschedule. In the phone interview, the interviewer spent a significant amount of time trying to determine what the lowest salary I would take was, talked over me, and generally appeared disinterested. They also seem heavily geared towards hiring PAs and they kept referring to me as a PA in the interview. I decided not to proceed after this.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me what salary I was looking for followed by if I would be willing to take x salary.

      Application

      Interview

Odd process. First had a brief visit with the recruiter telling me the pay scale and scope of the job, then a follow up with a nurse practitioner. Never heard back positive or negative.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me typical questions, including how I would assess and treat strep via telehealth.

      Nurse Practitioner Interview

      28 Oct 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Included Health in Jul 2019

      Interview

This was one of the most bizarre and chaotic interview processes I have experienced. I have interviewed and worked at several Bay Area healthcare companies and this was by far the worst interviewing experience.  Timeline: July 12th - Accepted a phone screen with the recruiter. Went well enough although when I asked about salary range she said "I'm not sure but what are you looking for?" July 19th: Had a mock patient call with one of the PAs. I was then asked to draft a comprehensive medical overview of my findings that would be relayed to an MD. Easy enough. I didn't hear anything for almost 2 weeks, so I sent an e-mail and was immediately informed that I made it to the next interview stage (??) August 7th: Interviewed with 3 MDs and 1 PA over the course of almost 2 hours. Easy conversation and everyone seemed pretty friendly. I didn't hear back for almost 2 weeks so I sent another e-mail asking if I got the position. I hear back immediately that I did but that the start date would be in October (??). In September I sent another e-mail indicating that I have not heard anything regarding start date, salary etc. I get an e-mail saying that the start date will be in November (??). I sent another e-mail today October 28th, and was informed that they went with other candidates and I should have been informed.  I found the lack of communication disrespectful of the time I had already invested in the interviewing process, and the overall exchange extremely unprofessional. I would strongly recommend staying away if you value your time and your profession! The disorganization on the recruiting/application side is likely reflective of broader disorganization within the company.
