      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Incubeta (London, England) in Jul 2018

      Interview

Two rounds of interviews. First is an interview with some of the team you are applying to, the second in a presentation to different employees. Not graduate friendly. Researched, made and presented a 15 minute presentation on PPC advertising, managed to at least partially answer every question I was asked despite being given barely 3 lines of guidance on what they expected in the presentation. Was told that I have a well-rounded CV, but did not have a deep enough knowledge of the field, despite advertising this as a graduate role that I would be trained up in. Never even finished the second part of my interview as the person who was supposed to meet me was dealing with an emergency, and then they just rejected me without even learning who I was or giving me a fair chance. Its dishonest advertising these roles on graduate recruitment websites but rejecting promising graduates who apparently have the skills they are looking for not knowing all the information they claim to train you in.

Hi. I'm the Talent Manager at NMPi. Thanks very much for applying for a role with us, and also for providing feedback here. We do have a thorough interview process which is designed to be graduate friendly (about 75% of the people who work here joined as graduates), but we absolutely do provide extensive training to graduates. We don't expect graduates to have experience of the industry, just attitude and aptitude to be succesful in it. Unfortunately it's very hard to measure that in someone in a short space of time, so we find the presentation task works best. It allows the candidate to really dig into the industry we operate in so they get to see if it is definitely for them, and we get to see if they seem to be able to grasp whats going on, as well as if there is genuine enthusiasm for what we do. The presentation brief is intentionally left open to interpration to allow the candidate to explore it in the direction they choose for themselves. Once graduates do start working with us we give them full training from scratch. Please do feel free to contact me direct if you would like any more help with getting a job in the digital media industry, I'd be happy to help. You can contact me on mark@nmpidigital.com .Many thanks, Mark

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Incubeta (London, England) in Feb 2019

      Interview

I was taken directly to an assessment centre as I applied through a recruitment agency. Day started with a small group task where we were put into two's and told to find out 5 facts about the other, and present it to the other group in 1minute. This was generic stuff like where they went to university, favourite module, fun fact etc. Second stage was 3 10minute interviews with senior members of the team, generic competency and motivation questions. Third stage was to present about PPC, 5mins long followed by 5mins questions from senior members as well as presenting to a few of the other candidates. 4th stage was a calculator maths test - 15 questions getting progressively harder, based on one set of data. Mainly working out changes in percentages and ratios. Lunch with some of the team, was relaxed and sociable, the team are lovely. After lunch we would have had a group presentation but one of the team members was not present for this, so we were let go early. All in all a lovely day, did not feel nervous because of the nice environment and organised day. However the feedback was pretty poor, I got one or so line of feedback from the recruitment agency and it was pretty generic, would have liked more detail. Also not having the group task did not feel like the company would have gotten the best out of myself and the other candidates, so making a decision based without that is pretty poor.

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Incubeta (London, England) in Nov 2017

      Interview

3 stage interview process. The first round included a maths test and an informal interview with a couple of account managers at the firm. The second stage involves doing a presentation in front of another two account managers. At this stage, they asked some pretty detailed questions on my understanding of Paid Search so be sure to have a strong knowledge base before going in. The third round was an interview with the operations director and the head of search, this round seemed to be more probing into my personality and whether I would make a good fit for NMPi.
