I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Indeed in Jan 2014
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter via email to schedule a phone interview. I was happy and excited at the prospect of working for indeed as I used the website often in my job search.
After speaking about the opportunity to the recruiter and asking them about the reviews on glassdoor, I was turned off by their answer. I asked about attrition rate and the poor the reviews on glassdoor, they responded, "As with any sales job, there is going to be attrition (understandable)." Regarding the reviews on glassdoor, they danced around the poor reviews stating they did have hardships and have addressed the issue of unhappy employees, lack of career growth and false sense of income earnings by streamlining the career growth path this year.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard sales questions. Focused on inside sales/making calls/average deal sizes. Why sales? Why inside sales?
I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (Singapore) in Feb 2026
Interview
The recruiter was based in Bangalore, India. At the start of the interview, he read through the job scope directly from his screen. He spoke very fast with a strong accent, which made it difficult for me to fully understand. After reviewing the role, he asked questions related to the sales process, motivation, strengths, sales targets, handling difficult customers, availability, and salary expectations. I asked for clarification more than once and answered the questions based on my understanding. The interview felt very transactional, with limited interaction beyond the scripted questions.
Just some feedback, I feel I would have been able to respond more effectively if the questions were shorter and more direct. Some of the questions were quite lengthy. I have no issue with different accents, but speaking slower and clearer pace of speech would have improved comprehension.

I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (New York, NY) in Dec 2025
Interview
Fast paced but thorough. Was able to finish the process within 3-4 weeks. Fully remote and interviewed with several directors. The process felt personable and the directors took time to make sure that it was a good fit for me as well.

Question 1
What was something challenging you have overcome recently?
Just a phone screen. It was clear the recruiter didn't fully read/misread my resume when she got on the call as I could hear her having her "oh oops" moment. Haven't heard since. At least she was candid that they don't promise any feedback or communication as a policy.
