      Search Quality Interview

      29 Jan 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed (Austin, TX) in Dec 2015

      Interview

Two telephone screens and a three-hour, in-person interview at their office with about eight different people. I was neutral about the overall experience, but every week following the interview they told me they were pushing back their decision another week. It was increasingly frustrating every time they left me hanging, and it tainted my initial positive outlook on the company. It took three weeks from the in-person interview and a handful of follow-up emails to finally get an answer. The entire process took well over a month.

      Interview

Very tedious! They really grilled me with 6 separate interviews for 7 hours. Very stressful. The hands on exercises were hard for me because I had little or no experience in these areas. I should have stayed home.

      Interview

Originally contacted by a friendly recruiter from HR. Quickly set up phone screen. Went great. However later received typical automated rejection letter. This was after listening to recruiter say she was going to proceed to the "next level". No big deal, just be prepared to understand that you're one of MANY candidates being interviewed and HR doesn't really care about you. Until you have a solid offer, don't assume anything.

      Question 1

Typical phone screen questions. A few on their product. Be prepared to know about it very well and not just generally.
