After submitting my CV for a medical writer position, an HR me for the first round of the selection process, a standard 30-minute phone call regarding my background. The interviewer showed up two hours later than expected. After a few days, he informed me that I had passed the first step of the selection, asking for my availability for the second step. The same day, another person from HR contacted me, telling me that he had found my profile online while headhunting and considered me suitable for the same position for which I had already started the process. At this point, I wrote to both of them: to the second saying that I was already in the middle of the selection process, and to the first HR proposing dates and notifying that another HR contacted me for the same position, to understand who I had to consider as the primary referent for the position. Since that day, they ghosted me. I tried to write to both of them a few times, asking why they stopped the selection process, given that I had already been told that I had moved on to the next level, but despite viewing the messages on WhatsApp, I have not heard anything more from anyone. It's a shame, because the position was interesting, and I'm sure I could have proven my worth. On the other hand, if HR refects the organization of the whole company, this is a big red flag.
