I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Indigo Books & Music (Calgary, AB) in Mar 2012
Interview
For Chapters you apply online. It involves the usual stuff (resume info, being legally eligible to work in Canada) and also a 75 question test. The test is pretty easy, it's all common sense. It just asks personality type questions and then customer service situation questions. I found out I had an interview in an e-mail. In the e-mail they asked me to go to a website and set up my own interview, I could choose from quite a few different days and times. My interview was one on one with my store manager. She asked me the typical interview questions: Why Chapters?, Why customer service?, Have you ever dealt with a difficult customer? She was really nice in my interview and I didn't find it that hard at all. At the end of my interview she told me I'd know by the end of the week if I got the job or not.

What do you know about Chapters Indigo as a company?
First virtual/video interview asking questions, then group interview with other candidates but I was only seasonal so for reg it may be different. It was an interview with 6 candidates at least
Submitted a video and then got selected to do a group interview, asked us to pick a partner and introduce ourselves to said partner then introduce your partner to the group, then we picked 2 times from the store and chose why we chose the items and why we recommended them, id suggest to pick a book and a item, then we did a team building exercise game and did some group questions at the end such as if you won the lottery what would you do and stuff like that
