Infosys Compaz Associate interview questions

Did a HR screening call where HR did not provide any details about working arrangement or pay. HR said my resume was highly sought and that the management was extremely interested in hiring me and she would get back ASAP with a date for an interview within the week. Emailed one week after and she said they regret that they are unable to proceed now. I was not even interviewed and do not understand what changed from HR and management thinking I was a splendid candidate to not even wanting to interview me. Moreover, she only asked for my expected salary and no pay range was provided. Regardless, process seems messy and would not recommend. Went to read glassdoor reviews and company seems like a messy place to be at.
