I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Instacart (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2020
Interview
What was suppose to be a 45 minute portfolio review, in which I was to share 2 projects, turned out to be a 20 minutes monologue by the interviewer about their extensive design experience, followed by 10 minutes about the company and team; leaving me with only 15 to rush through one project. I don't know if this was a test in time management, but it felt very careless.

Interview
Great interviewer who asked thoughtful questions and offered to spend additional time answering mine at the end. The interview lasted 45 minutes with 30 minutes to present my case study and 15 minutes for Q&A.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Instacart (Austin, TX) in Jan 2025
Interview
The process was straightforward and transparent. The recruiter let me know what to expect at each stage and even let me know some questions that I may be asked. I had an idea of what kind of work they were looking for prior to my portfolio, so I was able to tailor my case study presentation accordingly. Overall, it was a positive interview experience.
