I applied online. I interviewed at Institute For Humane Studies
Interview
There was an initial 15-minute HR screening over the phone, then a30-minute phone interview with the department manager. Finally, in-person panel interviews with 2-3 people per panel, which lasts 45 minutes per group. Individuals in the panel are primarily from the department you're applying to work with, and several individuals from other IHS departments.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Institute For Humane Studies (Arlington, VA) in Feb 2018
Interview
There was nothing special about this interview, which was an initial phone screen. It just took a while for them to get back to me with their decision afterwards. They sent a canned email that said the position had been filled by a "qualified applicant." This only begs the question: If you didn't think I was qualified, why did you waste my time and yours by interviewing me? I thought I was qualified, which is why I applied in the first place, but if they didn't think I was qualified, I don't know why they bothered interviewing me.
