I just received a rejection email stating they went with “others whose experience is a stronger match” after being ghosted by the recruiter.
The recruiter has a tight window for phone screening—the latest candidates [on the west coast] can schedule with this recruiter is 12:30 PM PST. I shuffled my schedule around to accommodate the recruiter’s timeframe.
I signed on to the call and waited 5 mins before I emailed the recruiter asking if we’re still on—he did not respond.
15 mins have passed and he still didn’t sign on. So I emailed him letting him know I signed off.
He emailed me back 6 mins after the scheduled call stating he had “computer issues” and that he can hop on a call “now”. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to hop on the call at that time so I gave him my availability—he never responded.
I understand that recruiters can be quite busy, so I gave them days (possibly weeks) to get back to me—they never did.
This experience doesn’t necessarily reflect Intapp’s values; “At Intapp, we’ve built a company in which our core values are rooted in respect, deep care, and concern for each individual…”
Needless to say, I didn’t continue pursuing this opportunity.
