I'll keep this short.
Based on my experience, the recruiting process felt surprisingly disorganized. It started with a missed call from HR, which happens. But when I called back, the voicemail greeting was simply, "Holla!" That was...unexpected.
After we connected, the recruiter was friendly and scheduled a video interview. The first interview time was canceled because there was almost no availability on the calendar, so I had to reschedule through a second link.
The interviewer (via video) was polite enough, but the conversation felt oddly scripted. Every time I asked a question, he started the answer with, "That's a great question," followed by a very generic response. It honestly felt like talking to someone auditioning to replace AI instead of competing with it. There just wasn't any real personality or connection.
The most surprising part? At the end of the interview, I was asked to evaluate the recruiter who initially contacted me. I had spoken to her for maybe 10 minutes—I had no idea what her role even was.
To their credit, everyone was courteous. But the overall process left me feeling like another calendar invite instead of a candidate. I ended up withdrawing my application the next day.
And to the recruiter with the voicemail...*Holla!* 😄
