Junior Full Stack Software Engineer (Microsoft) Interview

      4 May 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Annapolis Junction, MD
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Interclypse (Annapolis Junction, MD) in May 2023

      Interview

The first interview was remote, through a Microsoft Teams meeting, with the portfolio manager associated with the job I applied for. He had me describe my background and told me about the company. He didn't ask any specific questions during the meeting, so it seemed more like a preliminary screening than an interview. The second interview was in person with that same portfolio manager, as well as two senior developers. They had me describe projects I'd worked on and discuss my work history, technical background, and career goals. They also asked questions about specific projects from my resume. I didn't have a technical interview and was told that the next step, had I been hired, would have been to meet with HR, so it seems that they don't have a technical interview. The whole process took 9 days, from applying to the job to being notified that they were pursuing another candidate. The portfolio manager was very prompt in his communication. He was also very open and communicative about the process.
