I interviewed at International Copyright Enterprise
Interview
Stage 1 (screening): I had a screening call with the Hiring Manager. It was a very pleasant, conversational interview. Rather than just a checklist of skills, we focused on my past experiences. It felt like they were genuinely interested in my soft skills and problem-solving mindset.
Stage 2 (technical task): I was given a take-home assignment to build a MVP using React. The goal was to create an app to handle royalty processing.

Question 1
We went deep into how I handle feedback, the hardest professional decisions I’ve made, and how I navigate complex technical challenges.

Interview
My first interview was a very pleasant conversation with the Engineering Manager. After that, I received a take-home assignment that was easy and not time-consuming.
The third step was a one-hour “tech interview” with two engineers. They completely ignored my take-home assignment and asked me to implement a feature with almost no context. When I asked clarifying questions, the answers were vague and I was told to “just code.” As soon as I began typing, they started correcting and criticizing unfinished lines, pushing a very specific implementation in a harsh and rigid manner.
They were responsive and provided quick feedback, but the company clearly needs to improve how it conducts technical interviews. Based on this experience, I cannot imagine working with this team on a daily basis.

Interview
The longest interview process I've ever been subjected to.
Initial interview was as standard. After two weeks of no contact I had to reach out again & was finally given a date for round 2 with no option of rescheduling. After the assessment round I was completely ignored after multiple attempts at requesting an update & feedback if necessary.
The entire process was 8 weeks long & that was without getting through to the final round. They need to rethink this process or at least give candidates a heads up that the end to end interview process will be 6 weeks+. Also do not expect feedback as your requests will be ignored.
