I was initially referred for the senior Java developer role and had a rather smooth process up until after my interview with the engineers. Throughout the entire process, the HR would take 1-2 weeks to reply with any updates on my interview process, and to be frank, it was only because I would ask them for updates once a week. After my interview with the engineers, I was told that I would be a better fit as a junior developer, and they wanted me to restart the entire interview process for that position. Given that a month and a half had already passed, I was not too pleased with the result but was nonetheless thankful for the opportunity. However, after 2-3 weeks of silence and 2-3 emails, they finally got back to me just to tell me that they had already hired someone else. Overall one of the most unprofessional interview experiences I have ever had with HR so far.
