Interview
Process started great! I had 4 interviews starting with the recruiter. He professed transparency in communicating and wanting to have someone in place within 4 weeks. It was a priority hire. My interview process was in reverse. I spoke first with a VP...the a Director...then a Senior CSM. Each interview got better and I really felt a great comfort level. In no uncertain terms...I was given the strong impression this was my position to lose. After my last interview...all went silent for 4 weeks! I had to ask the recruiter weekly for an update. One month after my last interview...I was informed the new venture capital firm put a hold on hiring. I suspect this was known for quite sometime. It's very disappointing. I was definitely strung along. I wish companies truly followed through with complete transparency during the hiring process. I would not apply for any position at this company. They obviously have not figured out what their new venture capital owners want.
Meet with the recruiter, the hiring manager, another VP manager, and then a team member. I was passed through except at the end and not sure why the team member is last and has a say over the manager and hire ups that approved you.
Phone Interview by the recruiter, he gave an extremely promising expectation with next steps.. then ghosted. I sent a follow up email asking for an update and never heard back. Very unprofessional!!
