I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at IonQ
Interview
Fairly technical interview questions. Was expected to have deep knowledge about the listed skills on resume. Interviewer was engaged and personable, and connected well. There was a behavioral aspect as well that was less significant than the technical part.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at IonQ (College Park, MD) in Mar 2026
Interview
It begins with an interview with the recruiter. The next step is to meet with the hiring manager. Lastly, you'll meet with a few additional people from the team. It's a fairly new company and some teams are small.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IonQ (College Park, MD) in Mar 2025
Interview
Very standard pre-screen followed by a discussion with the hiring manager. Was not asked any specific problem-solving questions, just described past experiences and discussed how issues were addressed. The pre-screen included all the why questions, while the second interview consisted almost entirely of project related questions and no personality type questions.
