I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J. Crew (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Walked in with resume, they seemed to like me and gave me an interview on the spot. (I -was- wearing all J.Crew.) Interview was pleasant, easy-going. I had to come back to interview with the general manager, who was nice enough as well.

Question 1
Strengths, weaknesses, how past experience (I had no sales experience) was relevant, what would I do if I had a difficult customer.
Easy. 5 minutes or less and 3 questions tops. As long as you have experience with speaking to customers and handling relationships with co-workers you're good. Many people quit quickly but if you enjoy your space enough - a lot of people used J.Crew as a second job for the weekend or after their day job, they'd work a 5-9pm.
