I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at JCPenney in May 2011
Interview
I applied in the middle of April and was called about an interview the first week of May. He asked if I could come in that day (which I did). It was a 1:1 interview with someone from the Human Resources department and he was mostly concerned with my availability. It was a very nice interview - I was very comfortable and felt like he was actually listening to me. I asked when I would be notified of their decision to hire me or not and he said as soon as I passed my background check. I called on the Monday after my interview to check on the status of my background check, discovered I had passed, and start training on Wednesday!

Question 1
How has your past job experience helped you develop customer service skills?
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
