I applied on Indeed, and the hiring manager sent me a request for an interview within about 15 minutes, which was awesome! I had a phone interview with her less than a week later, and I thought it went very well. I sent the writing samples requested and thanked her for the interview. But I never heard back from her after that. I waited a few weeks and sent a friendly email asking about my status, but she never responded. This has been a common situation in my job hunt, but I feel it is unacceptable to ghost your interviewees like this. We are people, and it takes literally 1 minute to write out an email saying that we're no longer being considered for the position. When you can't do that, we lose confidence in you and your company.

Pretty standard questions - why this job? Why this company? Etc.
