I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Jimmy John's (Evansville, IN) in Sept 2012
Interview
Basic interview questions, what experience you have, a few dumb scenarios("If you saw a coworker stealing what would you do?" etc.) they ask you if you want to be a "rockstar" if you can memorize the menu etc.
Overall it was pretty laid back and somewhat informal. They explained the culture of the business and what was expected of all their employees(freaky fastness)
They ask you to memorize the sandwiches and the ingredients in them. They make you come back and write the list and ingredients out. You are also asked standard interview questions.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Jimmy John's (Seattle, WA)
Interview
Had me memorize sandwich list and rewrite it on a sheet of binder paper. I had to write each and every single one of the ingredients in each and every single one of the sandwiches that they offered on their menu. I had to do this perfectly.
