Virtual interview with two people. Interview was straight forward and they gave me feedback when it was requested. Genuinely appreciated learning what I could do better in my interviews in the future.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Journelle
Interview
It's a face to face interview held in their office. The hiring manager asked me to walk her through my resume and what I'm I looking for in this internship, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name one brand that has strong social media presence and explain their strategy.
I was called in for a face-to-face interview with the store manager. She was rude and condescending to me, criticized my responses, etc. Still called me back for a follow-up interview with the head of retail at their corporate office. She was also rude and condescending and only spoke to me for a few minutes before ending the interview. They never followed up even though I took the time to go to two in-person interviews for a retail job.
Ultimately, I think they wanted someone more committed long-term to the role, but I think for a minimum wage job, part-time, without commission, and with the kinds of demands apparently placed on their employees, that is extremely unrealistic.
