I applied online. I interviewed at Juniper Networks (Cupertino, CA)
Interview
Applied online and the recruiter called me the very next day during office hours without any heads up email. I managed to give her a date and time to setup a technical phone screen. After the technical phone screen I got an invite for a virtual onsite interview via hacker rank which was supposed to be 5-6 individual sessions with one being the hiring manager. Each interview was 45 mins at the minimum. I couldn't speak with the hiring manager since he was busy and had to reschedule. 4-5 other sessions were completed on that day. There was some issue with their connection and the interviewers got disconnected over a dozen times which was very frustrating. Except for one cranky lady, other interviewers were polite and professional. The next day, I was told that the manager wanted to interview me and the following day was set for it. The manager seemed like a very good guy. The interview was over an hour. In the end he told me that the interview went very well and that I would definitely hear from the team. I was once again contacted by the recruiter and told that the director wanted to speak to me. It was setup and then rescheduled since the director was busy and did not show up. He was apologetic about it though. This was not a technical interview but mostly a know each other better and set expectations kind of a thing and lasted around half an hour.
Now imagine being through all of this and being ghosted by the recruiter. I never heard back on the outcome even after writing back to the recruiter. Tells a lot about the recruiter and the company. I can imagine being ghosted after just the application or initial phone screen. But not hearing after investing so much time is just unbelievable. Never dealt with a more hopeless recruiter !
