They offer competitive salary and good benefits, office was nice and well maintained. The location is in a not so great area of town.
This was for a position in their creative dept. The interviewers seemed like good people, but at one point I thought to myself 'this is the most joyless interview I've ever had', it was like an interrogation. About 90% of the questions/statements were about getting the work done fast and production questions. My instinct tells me they have been burned before or people get bored of working there and regularly leave (it's socks, nothing but socks). The atmosphere of the office seemed very quiet and stuffy (lots of frowns from what I saw), at least that was my immediate impression.
For a certain type of person this might be a good job (likes repetitive tasks, doesn't need creative diversity), but it was very obvious from my limited interaction for most designers this is just a paycheck for awhile before moving on, unless you want to spend the rest of your career designing sock graphics.
If you want this job you probably have to have some kind of sock design experience (not that it's rocket science) or show yourself to be an impassioned sock junkie (sarcasm) even in the face of less than passionate interviewers.
The best jobs I have had the interview was a pleasant and positive experience with at least some humor or banter thrown in…if it's not, head for the hills and I speak from experience.
