I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kaplan (Philadelphia, PA) in Aug 2015
Interview
The interview was conducted via Skype. My interviewer did her best to put me at ease, always maintaining a very friendly and professional demeanor. The format was conversational but we covered a lot of ground -- in fact, we went longer than the scheduled hour. I can honestly say that it was one of the best interactions I have had in a long time.
The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Kaplan (Milwaukee, WI) in Apr 2016
Interview
It is a lengthy 4 interview process. I completed 3 interviews over the course of 2 months. All interviews are online through google hangouts. The interviews themselves are fine. Each of the managers I interviewed with were friendly and polite. The interview process takes forever, though. After initially being told the entire application process would take about a month, I ended up only getting through 3 of 4 interviews over 2 months. After each interview I was told I would hear back in a few days, but each time ended up being a week to two weeks. And then it would take a week to schedule a time for the next interview. Overall the process was way too dragged out, and I would have appreciated them moving a little quicker, especially with scheduling the next interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
First two interviews were basic questions about your background and managerial experience. A lot of "tell me a time when" sort of questions. The third interview was a project interview where they assessed your decision making regarding prioritizing tasks, scheduling, and convincing staff to work when they don't want to.

Interview
4-5 interviews, but it should have been 3 probably (I was interviewing for 2 positions). First, there was an initial screening, then several interviews with different directors. The whole process took about 3 weeks. It was a virtual interview and in some cases more than one director joined on the video calls.

Question 1
They gave me a case study to prepare in advance of the final interview. It was an overall friendly process and relatively non-intimidating, but aimed at analyzing critical thinking and commitment.
