I had a phone screen, then completed their online assessment test that took at least 30 minutes. The in-person interview was scheduled quickly and I thought that meant they wanted to hire ASAP.
I arrived early at their location in Springdale, OH for the in-person interview. As I walked to the double front doors, I noticed the concrete in the walk was crumbling and the large American flag flying on a tall flag pole was old, worn out and tattered. The wood 2 story thing around their outside ATM needs painted. The main front doors glass had not been cleaned in a while. I sat in the small lobby and felt like I was back in the '80s. There were two tellers that looked bored and a radio was blaring from some place.
The interview was with the Branch Manager and the Branch Supervisor (who took notes). Each told me about themselves and their time at Kemba.
The interview took about an hour, as I was asked many situational questions. There were no questions relating to being a teller. At the end, I was told they had many more candidates to interview and it would be 1-2 more weeks before I would learn if I got the job or not. HR would call me either way and let me know if I got the job or if not, why not. Training would start May 23rd.
I had to ask the salary range as it was not told to me.
I was shocked to get an email today (1 day later) that they had already picked someone else. I emailed HR asking if they had already picked someone (before setting up my interview) and had to interview others just for government reasons. Awaiting HR's reply. I have deleted my application as they did not tell me the truth and I will NOT work for someone that like that.
