I was approached about the role a few times by HR and was tasked with a case study as the first step to present on teams to 2 senior leaders. This was challenging as it was on impersonal on teams and I couldn't see their faces for the full 30 minutes while presenting. I only had 3 days to turn the presentation around and spent the entire weekend away from my family to pull it together. The interviewers were pleasant, but commented that the presentation was too smooth. Seriously it felt like a backhanded compliment, but I ran with it. They asked about my resilience and how I would work with 2 line managers. I'm a very senior shopper manager and a very resilient person, but what bothered me the most with this whole process was that I was ghosted after the interview. Such a disrespectful and unprofessional team. I probed for a response from HR and after another 3 weeks still never heard anything. Really disappointed and feel it was a waste of valuable time. If you don't respect your candidates how do you respect your employees.
