I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kertos (Germany) (Berlin)
Interview
Started with a positive HR interview where expectations and background were well aligned. This was followed by a technical interview with the tech leads, including a medium-difficulty technical challenge and an infrastructure design discussion.
I then had another interview with the Co-Founder & CTO and the Technical Product Lead, which also went well. Afterward, I was informed that the next step would be meeting the team the following week. However, shortly before that stage, I was notified that they decided to move forward with another candidate whose background more closely matched their experience requirements.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Kertos (Germany) (Berlin) in Jul 2025
Interview
Including the initial call, there were 5 rounds in total (case study review, task review, face to face with the team, culture chat with c-level). Even though I didn't get the job, it's important to mention how incredibly professional the team and process were.
Being located outside of Germany, they even flew me in for a face-to-face interview, making the whole experience very welcoming, enjoyable, and informative. I received thoughtful feedback at the end, and in a highly competitive work market, it was great to get this follow-up with clear reasons that made complete sense to me.
A big thumbs up to everyone involved, and I look forward to seeing Kertos grow and succeed in their mission.
